Okie Spirits

Storytelling is a sacred Druid art.  Historical druids were known to be required to memorize many, many stories during their training.   Modern druids study stories from throughout time as sources of information, wisdom, inspiration, and that unspeakable trans-rational something that lists of facts just can't convey.  The druidic style of storytelling doesn't necessarily conform to modern concepts of logic or canon.  The truths conveyed may be fact or be ineffable.  This style of storytelling isn't limited to the ancient druids; we can use these same storytelling principles to communicate our experiences today.  In the stories listed here you will find modern druids sharing their experiences of relationship with the land of Oklahoma.  Some stories are born from deep spiritual journeys, some from childlike wonder and awe, some from the jokester or trickster, and some from any combination of these. Whether they are serious or frivolous to the teller, however you experience them is also valid.  Take them in your heart out into the land and see what the land says to you.  Then share your story with others.
